We organise our official GYSD event on the 7th April, and it will take place in Környe, Komárom-Esztergom county. We'll give ground for mothers who want to exchange baby clothing to each other. As the baby grows most of his/her clothes became unusable for the family - while other families with younger kids could use the very same clothes. We create the opportunity for them to do the 'business', and in the meantime we also take care of their children.
Our Leader of Communications Tom Schöngrundtner applied to became an official Global Youth Service Day blogger. If he succeeds and Youth Service America selects him, our GYSD event will get more attention.
Of course there is a reason why we won't held our programme between the 20th and 22th April as GYSD-participants worldwide do. Actually our volunteers will participate another GYSD event on that weekend, organised by our partner 'Tasli'. The three-day volunteer meetup will take place in Tatabánya, Komárom-Esztergom county. The volunteers arriving from every part of Hungary will help a local primary school by renovating its building, doing this together with socially handicapped youngsters.
